Stock Car heat one began with an enormous pile up which cetainl sounds good behind the dust storm! Paul Aylwar won but was docked two places for jumping the restart and overtaking under yellows so brother Gary won ahead of Aaron Morris. Gary won heat two as well and then wrapped up a hat trick in the Final which was stopped for an enormous rollover by Jame Stae whil the bumpers were well used all night.

Final

1st 16 Gary Aylward

2nd 191 Aaron Morris

3rd 52 Paul Anscombe

Heats

16 Gary Aylward (2)

Spedeweekend - Supreme- Wheel Spin August
25/08/2006 - Writen by Paul Hugget and Daniel Ruston

There had to be some peculiar capers cut by one young racer in particular in Saturday's last race for the stockies, so the main event was relatively civilised! I say relatively, because you still couldn't pay me enough money to race with these guys (How's the collection going Melvyn?) and it was still quite tough going. George Morphey was one setting about all and sundry, while Sean Fiiske piled in the wall with Sam Welton, and Marco Glenister, Spooky Dawson and Chris Woods got in a mess. so there was virtual unknown racer 499 Gavin Payne leading the race by a tidy margin, while they all got on with it. !Gucci" Jason Bell held second, while Jamie Bryant passed Vicki Brand who was a good third throughout and then shoved Bell wide. Payne was now melting rubber to stay ahead, but went down fighting when Bryan spun him. However, everything changed because Own Gibbs, who had scored some terrific wins after a slow start to his Stock Car career in the weeks leading up to the Spedeweekend, hunted Jamie down and took over the lead, which, despite backmarker Woods spinning him out at one point, he held on to! Way to go Owen. Morphey eventually took second, ahead of Brand, and Aaron Morris. Phew!
